Acura Vehicles to be in the Russian Market
The year 2008 includes a list of activities of one of the biggest automakers in the world, the Honda Motors Co Ltd. The company plans to launch its Acura brand in Russia thru its luxurious vehicles.
Honda will sell its range of executive and sports models including the Acura SUV, Acura MDX, Acura RL and Acura TL. This was according to the report stated to Nikkei weekly.
To facilitate the process, ten offices will be opened by the company in some of the major cities in Russia like in St. Petersburg and Moscow.
The Acura brands hit the market and taste of customers making the Acura vehicles in demand in China, Canada, Mexico and United States.
In Russia alone, Honda presently has 30 shops. Record-breaking sales for cars increased by 77 percent in 2006 to 15,723 units against the previous year. The sales from January to June boost more than two times to 13,616 vehicles.
Based from the statistics, the number of sales for new cars may increase by 10 to 20 percent, exceeding the 1.8 million new cars bought by Russian customers in 2006.
Other automakers also keep up and intensify their place in the Russian industry. Toyota sold 106,000 cars in the region while Nissan sold 76,000 units.
Besides India and China, Russia is likewise the finest market area in the world and is one of the rapid-growing markets especially in the automotive industry.
